day 8
Day 8 - Post Cleanse
We’ve made it to the final phase, and this is the most important part—Rasayana, or rejuvenation. After all the cleansing, we’re now focusing on rebuilding and nourishing the body, mind, and spirit. Your digestive fire has reset, and now we get to strengthen not only the digestive system but also the nervous system.
You’ll find everything you need in the manual for reintegrating foods, but it’s normal to feel a mix of excitement and a bit of anxiety about adding different foods back into your diet. Take it slow. Let this be an opportunity to nourish yourself on a deep level that lasts far beyond this week. It’s not just about food; it’s about supporting a sense of contentment, calm, and connection in your life.
What to Eat:
Start with lots of good, cooked fiber—soaked chia seeds, oatmeal, cooked fruits and veggies, and whole grains are perfect. After a few days, you’ll gradually reintroduce healthy fats like ghee, coconut, tahini, sesame oil, soaked almonds, and warm dairy. When your appetite feels strong, try making the rejuvenative drink recipe from the manual. Have it daily for a week to rebuild your deep tissues. It’s also great to enjoy as a light meal or snack if you need a little boost in the morning or evening.
If the rejuvenative drink feels too heavy, you can water it down, use fewer dates, or try the “lite” version in the manual. Adjust it to what feels right for your body! You can also stir 1 tsp of ghee into 8 oz of your favorite milk (or milk substitute) and drink it in the evenings for extra nourishment.
For those of you interested in herbs, 1 tsp of Ashwagandha (Banyan Botanicals - for a discount, use code: LISA at checkout) is a great addition for cold weather. Chyawanprash, a traditional Ayurvedic tonic, is also a wonderful rejuvenative—packed with Vitamin C from amla fruit to support your immune system.

Enjoy this time.
