YOGA FOUNDATIONS  

A 5-WEEK SERIES WITH LISA BERMUDEZ AND MICHAEL LAFEMINA

Thursdays, October 4th - November 1st
TIME: 6:30-8pm

A 5-week course supporting students through a journey that fine-tunes yoga postures with a focus on alignment, safety, and strength. This course will provide in-depth and discussion-based workshops that will help anyone have a deeper sense of peace and stability in their practice. It’s open to any absolute beginners who are brand new to the yoga practice as well as anyone with an ongoing, steady practice looking to solidify the fundamentals.

FOCUS:

  • Foundations of each pose (Asana) from the ground up

  • Learning how to modify for injury, recovery, or alignment needs

  • Basic anatomy of postures

  • Energetic flow of postures

  • Building familiarity with most common poses

  • Answering questions you bring to the mat

OUTLINE:

  • Week 1: Establishing the Practice, Focus on Sun Salutations & Planks

  • Week 2: Side Bends & Pranayama

  • Week 3: Lunges and Basic Balancing Poses

  • Week 4: Twisting Poses

  • Week 5: Backbends, Forward Folds, and Spinal Anatomy
